STUDIO BASED WEBINAR

CLIENT: BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT.

BRIEF: To deliver a series of multi-camera webcasts that incorporated remote speakers, interactive voting and word clouds as well as questions from the invited viewers. 

DELIVERY: The broadcasts took place in our video studio, with direction provided from our on-site control room. Remote speakers were technically onboarded one week in advance to familiarise them with the process. The events were hosted on custom-branded webpages that we designed specifically for this series. 

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Insurance Law Global

BRIEF: To deliver a hybrid multi-camera webcast incorporating remote speakers from many time zones. An in-person audience, event audio and sound system in the conference room. 

DELIVERY: We successfully onboarded twelve remote speakers from around the world prior to the event. Our team provided a two-camera live broadcast, complete with a professional PA system and sound engineer. Additionally we ensured the presence of a remote speaker technician and a video director to oversee the production.

HOTEL BASED

CLIENT: Social Worker of the Year Awards 

BRIEF: Genesis PR engaged our services for the second consecutive year to produce a 'pandemic-safe' hybrid event to honour the remarkable achievements of social workers. Their objective was incorporate the elegance and production quality typically associated with in-person events.

DELIVERY: We converted a hotel function room into a TV studio with lighting and AV equipment, supporting presenters with teleprompters. Our team included a director, camera operators, and an autocue operator, while highlights were produced on-demand.
We created motion graphics and worked with the PR company on the script.

The broadcast attracted thousands of viewers and trended number one on X  in the UK.

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Starstruck press event for British Airways

BRIEF: To deliver lighting and a multi-camera live broadcast for Starstruck who were organising a press event focused on the travel restart in collaboration with British Airways and Heathrow Airport following the pandemic.

DELIVERY: We delivered a comprehensive package that included four cameras, three operators, a vision mixer/director, and a complete sound system with a sound engineer.

Our small camera jib allowed for dynamic moving shots, all of which were broadcasted from a functioning airport lounge at Heathrow's Terminal 5. LinkedIn Live was the selected platform, attracting thousands of viewers to the broadcast.

HOTEL BASED

CLIENT: Elite Business Live

BRIEF: To broadcast a two-day business event featuring a main stage for keynote speakers and panel discussions, alongside a breakout room with further presentations. Additionally, a backstage studio is required to provide online viewers with content while the main stage is being prepared between sessions. We have been covering this event since 2020. 

DELIVERY: We set up three cameras in the main room and one backstage, mixed live by our vision mix team. A complete PA system was provided, and remote panel contributors connected globally. The breakout room had its own vision mixer and operator. We utilised a paper free cloud-based Rundown Studio software for the show.

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Unreasonable Impact World Forum with Barclays

BRIEF: Unreasonable Group invited us to work with them for the third time to live stream their Impact World Forum at the Royal Institution in London. The 'TED' style talks showcase innovative ideas from entrepenuaers from around the world. Investors are encourage to back and support their work. Five cameras and two streams were required as well as a broadcast delay system and on-site vision mixing. 

DELIVERY: The five-hour event was successfully broadcast on Facebook and YouTube, attracting thousands of viewers worldwide. This platform enabled the entrepreneurs to present their pitches and showcase their innovative concepts and products to a global audience.

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Marlborough Lit Fest

BRIEF: To provide coverage of a two-day literary festival in the historic town of Marlborough, two cameras were utilised to film and live stream each discussion for a pay-per-view audience. Additionally, several speakers participated remotely, seamlessly integrated into the event through our vision mixing system.

DELIVERY: We positioned two cameras to capture the event. One of these cameras was operated manually to ensure optimal coverage. Our skilled vision mix operator live mixed the footage, allowing for a seamless viewing experience. In total, we broadcasted approximately 13 hours of engaging talks and discussions directly to the client's designated platform, ensuring that all content was delivered smoothly. 

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust

BRIEF: Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust approached us to broadcast a special meeting at their HQ to discuss how charities, the private sector and government can work effectively together when tackling climate change. The format was a panel discussion featuring Sir Alok Sharma, MP and President of COP 26, and Richard Graham MP with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust staff. 

DELIVERY: We delivered a comprehensive audiovisual experience by providing dual camera coverage to capture the event from multiple angles. A PA system was also set up to ensure clear audio throughout the venue. Furthermore, we created an event page on our unbranded website, specifically designed to host the broadcast of the event. REMOTE GOLF COURSE

CLIENT: PGA Golf Championship

BRIEF: To broadcast a six hour multi-camera golf championship from Blairgowrie Golf Course near Perth, Scotland.

DELIVERY: The two-camera coverage and live commentary was vision mixed remotely in Swindon, incorporating a live scoreboard, course overview map, weather information, and additional video content.

Our bonded 4G encoders facilitated broadcasting from this remote location, allowing the streams to be transmitted to The PGA's Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages.

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Christmas Light Switch-ons

BRIEF: To provide comprehensive multi-camera coverage of the Christmas light switch-on events in Chippenham and Swindon, which will be displayed on screens and live-streamed. An outside broadcast vehicle equipped with a dedicated internet connection will be required to accommodate anticipated saturation of the cellular network.

DELIVERY: We provided four operated cameras a self powered outside broadcast van featuring a KA satellite connection, which ensured adequate bandwidth for web broadcasting. Furthermore, at one location, we supplied a Jimmy Jib camera crane.

LOCATION BASED

CLIENT: Fire Brigades Union

BRIEF: We broadcast the launch of the DECON campaign for The Fire Brigades Union. The client wanted to broadcast it from a working fire station in Essex. We needed to supply three cameras with two being operated and location sound and fit this into a busy station with lighting and set dressing. 

DELIVERY: We made a set on one side of a fire station. The venue presented logistical challenges, particularly regarding lighting. Ensuring high-quality sound was crucial, given the large echoic space situated between two major roads.

To mitigate the risk of interruptions during the webcast, the show was pre-recorded and subsequently broadcast within an hour to the clients YouTube account.

CLIENT: Elite Business Live On Tour

BRIEF: CEMG Media decided to expand their successful show by taking it on the road. As their preferred partner, we were tasked with organising a series of fully remote broadcasts at diverse locations, ranging from the Excel to a theatre in Newcastle.
The client wanted to maintain the same high production quality, utilising multiple cameras, as well as the capability to incorporate videos and graphics.

DELIVERY: This was always going to be a logistical challenge as the events had a rolling programme of talks which couldn't be stopped. We used three wireless cameras and a production trolley which allowed for a fast get in and get out. 

Broadband was also an important consideration as the venues were challenging for cellular signals.

SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOS

CLIENT: National Trust - Stowe Gardens

BRIEF: The objective was to produce a mini-series of films primarily for Instagram, highlighting the user experience, particularly during nighttime. The aim was to enhance ticket sales.

DELIVERY: Over the course of two days, including one evening, we conducted filming both on the ground and in the air. This resulted in the production of three 60-second films, along with a curated selection of footage for media use. The films are available in both widescreen and portrait formats. Notably, one of the films shared on our TikTok account has garnered over 300,000 views.

LIVE HIGHLIGHTS

CLIENT: Social Worker of the Year Awards

BRIEF: We successfully broadcasted a hybrid version of the Social Worker of the Year Awards during the pandemic for two consecutive years. Genesis PR aimed to capture the elegance of the in-person event while catering to a remote audience.

DELIVERY: We transformed a conference room in a London hotel into a stage, complete with lecterns and show lighting. Multiple cameras and teleprompters facilitated seamless presentations by the speakers. The remote audience engaged with the event by submitting images and messages. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

CLIENT: London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF)

BRIEF: The graduation day at the Guildhall in London was documented with the assistance of a single cameraman equipped a gimbal to ensure comprehensive coverage of the event from all angles. 

DELIVERY: The client's editor subsequently refined our footage into the example presented above. Furthermore, we facilitated multi-camera live streaming of the ceremony, which broadcasted to the client's YouTube account. You can watch it here.

EVENT SHOWCASE

CLIENT: Love Fashion Live - Shopping centre lives

BRIEF: Edited highlights from three days of live broadcasts for a special fashion event at the Brunel Shopping Centre. This initiative aimed to promote in-store shopping, and we were tasked with providing live coverage on Facebook, including a fashion show and makeup lessons.

DELIVERY: Our experienced cameraman and presenter delivered live webcasts directly from the event to the client's Facebook account. Over the course of six broadcasts, these sessions had a notable impact on increasing foot traffic, which in turn helped to draw more visitors into the shops. 

ARCHIVE HIGHLIGHTS

CLIENT: STEAM Museum, Swindon

BRIEF: Our long-term client, STEAM, Museum, commissioned us to capture the filming of two locomotives during a swap. The client sought to document the removal of "Hinton Manor" and its tender followed by the installation of "2818" and its tender, had arrived from the National Railway Museum in York.

DELIVERY: We supplied a Camera Operator on-site, along with two time-lapse cameras, to ensure comprehensive coverage of all angles. Additionally, another crew filmed Hinton Manor's relocation to the adjacent Swindon Designer Outlet Village. The captured footage was subsequently edited into a launch film for the official unveiling, which occurred on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. 

FUNDRAISING

CLIENT: Prospect Hospice

BRIEF: The objective was to create a film that highlighted the 'Remember Me' roses campaign while promoting sales. Each rose was meticulously handcrafted from recycled materials, necessitating a focus on showcasing the product effectively.

DELIVERY: We conducted an interview with a widower, discussing his late wife and the support provided by the hospice that facilitated a comfortable and stress-free experience for both her and their family during this challenging time.

FILMS

COOKING

CLIENT: Love Canned Food (From a global food brand)

BRIEF: Working with Webber Shandwick we produced a series of cooking films from TV chef Phil Vickery. The objective was to showcase the wide range of amazing dishes that can be made largley from canned food. 

DELIVERY: We conducted a two-day filming session in Liverpool at the client's demonstration kitchen, during which we provided a stills photographer to capture a series of images of the final dishes. The client also engaged a skilled food stylist to enhance the presentation of the food. The final films were delivered in multiple formats to ensure compatibility across all platforms and media channels.

RECRUITMENT

CLIENT: Prospect Hospice

BRIEF: The objective was to produce a film that highlights the diverse employment opportunities available at the hospice, as well as the benefits it provides for potential employees. Emphasising the compassion of the staff and the fulfilling nature of the environment was essential.

DELIVERY: Over the course of two days, we collaborated with a welcoming team at multiple locations. Despite initial nervousness regarding the  filming process, we ensured a comfortable atmosphere for everyone involved. Following the shoot, we edited the footage and delivered the final product to the client for upload on their website.

ANIMATED

CLIENT: PRP Optoelectronics

BRIEF: Aegina provides exceptionally pure water, achieving a cleanliness level of 99% by effectively eliminating germs and pathogens through advanced UVC technology. The objective was to produce an animated film that efficiently demonstrates Aegina's functionality to prospective buyers.

DELIVERY:The unit's external design does reveal any visible working parts; therefore, our creative team developed a storyboard to effectively illustrate its functionality in simple terms. Subsequently, our motion graphics designer produced an informative video, which is used at trade shows and featured on the client's website.

EDUCATIONAL 

CLIENT: BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT.

BRIEF: The objective was to engage in interviews with the speakers who participated in the 'Skills England: Cross-sector Digital Recommendations' event, which was organised by BCS. 

DELIVERY: We provided a skilled lighting cameraman who established a setup in a side room adjacent to the main broadcasting area. He conducted interviews with the speakers on stage and captured additional creative footage of the event. Our editor subsequently combined this footage with selected clips provided by the client to produce this time film.

TRAINING

CLIENT: IMPARTA

BRIEF: The Brunel Shopping Centre, in collaboration with their educational partners Imparta, developed a training programme designed educate young people about the retail industry. They engaged our services to produce two promotional films to effectively communicate and promote this initiative.

DELIVERY: We dispatched a Camera Operator and Interviewer to document the event. One film was aimed at encouraging future participation from retailers sponsors and the other focused on capturing the perspectives of young attendees. 

OUTSIDE THEATRE

CLIENT: Nornen Project

BRIEF: "All Hands!” was a new outdoor theatre production. We were invited to film the production using three cameras with two being operated. 

The production featured integrated British Sign Language, visual storytelling and live music. We needed to ensure the BSL was visable at all times. 

DELIVERY: Collaborating with the theatre company and the AV team, we established three cameras on a raised platform with a vantage point over the main stage. The recording took place outdoors. Subsequently, our editor meticulously edited the entire performance, including the credits, prior to the client's addition of the content to a pay-per-view platform

DANCE PERFORMANCE

CLIENT: Pavilion Dance South West

BRIEF: During the pandemic, Pavilion Dance South West, located in Dorset, reached out for assistance as they had to cancel numerous performances. Their digital team aimed to develop an online performance that would immerse viewers in the experience. This socially distanced event was be recorded at a theatre in Bournemouth. The client requested that the performance be streamed on the same day it was captured.

DELIVERY: The footage was quickly returned, and our editor combined the angles to create a cohesive performance, including an introduction and Q&A.
Our live team then streamed the show to PDSW's dedicated followers. An extract of the performance is available above.
