Last month solo16 provided outside broadcast services to the ITV Daytime show 'Loose Women' as they took their show on the road to the Eden Project in Cornwall.
The whole programme was pre-recorded inside the rainforest biome which had 85% humidity and a temperature of 25 degrees. It was broadcast to mark Earth Day on 22nd April.
"We new we would face a challenge with the high humidity in the building. We decided to use a PPU (Portable Production Unit) and leave it and all the cameras inside the dome overnight. We faced random small episodes of rainfall inside the dome throughout the shoot but the equipment all worked well with no failures." explains solo16's Technical Director.
“We had a great time working with the solo16 team. No request was too big or too small, and no question unanswered. They even went above and beyond to add extra value for our project. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again” explains the Loose Women series director.
Simon Vacher was solo16's camera supervisor and oversaw the PSC filming in the morning. Simon is used to challenging filming locations as he regularly works on the BBC's 'Countryfile' programme.
